Abstract | Monastic life is a meaningful way of life, a life that recognizes the dangers of samsara and strives toward liberation, with a resolute determination to eliminate defilements and attain nirvana. This kind of life elevates the human mind from suffering and leads to true peace. The book "Monastic Life (Mahapavarana)" is a collection of valuable sermons delivered by Luang Por Dhammajayo (Chaibun Dhammajayo) on Mahapavarana Day, an important Buddhist holiday. These sermons reflect Luang Por's determination and goodwill in guiding monks, novices, and other practitioners on the path to monastic life, aiming to perfect their ethics, morality, and conduct. Mahapavarana is a practice in which monks openly offer each other sincere admonitions, with the goal of helping each other eliminate obstacles to Dhamma progress and to foster purity within the group. Pavarana reflects unity, generosity, and commitment to the Dhamma-Vinaya. which is an important foundation that has helped Buddhism to remain stable and prosperous throughout its history |
