Abstract | This research aimed to 1) study the competency level of school administrators, 2) study the effectiveness level of schools, 3) study the relationship between the competency of school administrators and school effectiveness, and 4) study the variable of school administrators’ competency that can predict the effectiveness of schools under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Roi Et. The population used in this research was 2,390 teachers and school administrators under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area, Roi Et, from 60 schools. The sample group consisted of 136 school administrators and 195 teachers, totaling 311 people. The sample size was determined by opening the ready-made table of Krejci and Morgan. The sample group was obtained by using simple random sampling. The tool used for data collection was a questionnaire based on opinions on a 5-level rating scale. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way variance, Pearson’s simple correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research results found that 1. The competency of school administrators according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers was at a high level overall. 2. The effectiveness of schools according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers Overall, it is at a high level. 3. The competence of school administrators and school effectiveness, overall, it was found that there is a positive relationship with statistical significance at .01 with a correlation coefficient of .76 and 4. The competence of school administrators that were analyzed, 7 aspects, found that there were 3 aspects that could predict school effectiveness, namely 1) School administration 2) Curriculum, learning measurement and assessment 3) Educational quality assurance, with statistical significance at .01 with a predictive power of 64.51 percent and a standard error of prediction equal to ±.2847. |
