Abstract | The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the morale and encouragement in work performance of Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, Bangkok Metropolitan, 2) to compare the morale and encouragement in work performance of Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, Bangkok Metropolitan with gender and education level, entering government service, and 3) to study the suggestions for enhancing morale and encouragement in work performance of Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, Bangkok Metropolitan. The research was quantitative. The population was Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, numbering of 723 people, and the sample of 148 people. The tool was a questionnaire. Data was analyzed using percentages, averages, and standard deviations. The research results found that: 1) the morale and encouragement in work performance of Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, Bangkok Metropolitan, overall, and in each aspect was at a high level in 6 areas: relationship with supervisors, colleague occupational status, policy and administration of the organization, personal well-being, job security and the governance methods of commanders and were at a moderate level 3 aspects: salary, working conditions and future progress.2) the morale and encouragement in work performance of Phasi Charoen District Office’s personnel, Bangkok Metropolitan with gender and education level in entering government service was different. It was found that (1) gender: female personnel gave importance to success professional status and greater job security than male (p < 0.05) (2), educational level: undergraduates place more emphasis on recognition and working relationships, bachelor's degree gave more importance to job description, advancement, and salary (p < 0.05), and (3) entering government service, personnel transferred from other government agencies, placed more importance on being accepted and working relationships (p < 0.05) and, 3) the suggestions for enhancing morale and encouragement in the personnel performance of Phasi Charoen District Office, Bangkok Metropolitan was motivating factors advancement opportunities should be given to personnel within the agency first, used personnel according to their skills, considered your merits according to your abilities, supporting factors, supervisors should listen to opinions and be friendly, considered the merits and demerits fairly, adjusted your salary to suit the cost of living, promoting cooperation and assistance between colleagues. |
