Abstract This study aims to explore the impact of creative learning activities, specifically constructing bridges using straws and toothpicks, on the development of students' creativity and collaboration skills. A qualitative research approach was employed. The participants consisted of eight students, selected through purposive sampling from those who voluntarily joined the activity. Data collection was conducted using participant observation based on the conceptual frameworks of creativity and collaboration skills. The data were analyzed using content analysis.The findings revealed that groups engaging in open collaboration and continuous communication demonstrated higher levels of creativity and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, the use of simple, basic materials encouraged students to experiment and explore new methods for constructing structures freely. This approach resulted in effective learning and deeper understanding of engineering and physics principles related to bridge construction.
