| Abstract | All humans seek happiness, peace, and fulfillment in life. Some people seek happiness from external things, such as wealth, fame, power, or even relationships with people. However, as time passes, we find that this happiness is fleeting, unsustainable, and subject to change. Meanwhile, suffering lingers in our minds endlessly. Buddhism teaches that suffering arises from attachment, and that the path to cessation of suffering lies in realizing the true nature of things, not in trying to change the external world to suit our desires. |
