The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire divided into three sections. Section 1 is a questionnaire about the respondents. Section 2 is a questionnaire about the use of power by school administrators. Section 3 is a questionnaire about teachers' motivation for their work. Statistics used in the analysis include frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation. The research results found thatThe findings of this research were as follows :1. The overall use of power by school administrators in the Phanoi Education Quality Development Group was at a high level (x ̅ = 4.26, S.D. = 0.02). The highest-rated aspects were coercive power and legitimate power (x ̅ = 4.28, S.D. = 0.06), followed by reward power (x ̅ = 4.25, S.D. = 0.06). The lowest-rated aspect was referent power, which was still at a high level (x ̅ = 4.23, S.D. = 0.13)2. Teachers’ work motivation was also at a high level overall (x ̅ = 4.23, S.D. = 0.03). The highest-rated aspect was the need for affiliation (x ̅ = 4.05, S.D. = 0.08), followed by the need for existence (x ̅ = 4.22, S.D. = 0.09). The lowest-rated aspect was the need for growth, which remained at a high level (x ̅ = 4.20, S.D. = 0.06)3. The school administrators' use of power, as perceived by teachers, showed a positive correlation with teachers' work motivation in all seven aspects. The highest correlations were found with the need for growth, the need for existence, and the need for affiliation, at high levels (r = 0.931, 0.918, 0.907, respectively) with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. |
