Abstract | This research is an objective of the study “The Development of Instructional Model for English Language Reading Comprehension for Undergraduate Students of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University Based on ACTIVE Reading and Cooperative Learning Techniques”. This research was quantitative research which aims to 1) study the attitudes of the sample group towards the Instructional Model for English Language Reading Comprehension for Undergraduate Students of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University Based on ACTIVE Reading and Cooperative Learning Techniques. The target population of the study was 96 third-year students in the English program of the academic year 2020 at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. The samples of the study were 32 third-year students in the English program of the academic year 2020 at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. The instruments were the Instructional Model for English Language Reading Comprehension Based on ACTIVE Reading and Cooperative Learning Techniques, and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using mean, and standard deviation. The study result was that the students of the sample group appeared themselves with agreeable attitudes towards the Instructional model for English language reading comprehension for Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University based on ACTIVE Reading and cooperative learning techniques at very good ( = 4.31, S.D. = 0.59). The most agreeable attitudes were student-centered learning and alternative activities for learning ( = 4.78, S.D. = 0.42). The second agreeable attitudes were the uses of cooperative learning and the model to enhance active reading ( = 4.75, S.D. = 0.44). The least agreeable attitude was that the students could apply their comprehension reading skills in everyday life ( = 4.66, S.D. = 0.55). |
