Abstract | Cultural policy is one of the important policies that the government needs to propose and implement to manage the country's culture. However, they are often not in the spotlight compared to other policies. Therefore, this article aims to study the cultural policy of the government of Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra to study the various issues that appear in the policies related to culture. To study the continuity of cultural policies from the previous government and to study the influence of various ideas that appear in cultural policies by studying the documents from the policy statements of the Cabinet to the National Assembly. On September 12, 2024, the results of the study showed that the cultural policy of the government of Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra focuses on the promotion of culture to create economic value to promote the country's soft power through the policy of establishing the Thailand Creative Content Agency (THACCA) and the policy of One Family, One Soft Power (OFOS), which is a continuation of the previous government and has been extended in parallel with the proactive economy to promote the international economy, as well as the policy of respecting multiculturalism in the preparation of the people's version of the Constitution and the cultural policy related to the main institutions of the nation, which aims to protect and preserve the monarchy. Disseminate information about the monarchy and aim for religious institutions to be an important mechanism to create morality and ethics for the people. The government's cultural policy reflects the concept of the creative economy. The concept of soft power and the concept of nationalism. The government's cultural policy only provides basic information about the policy, but it does not reflect the process dimension of the policy. |
