Abstract | The objective of this study is to examine factors influencing the intention to use and actual use of smart home devices. This research is quantitative research that applied theory of Planned Behavior and conceptualizing information privacy and disclosure according to the Privacy Calculus Theory. Data was gathered by online questionnaires and computed with statistical software to determine the relationships of factors. The researcher conducted a reliability analysis to test precision of tools and Hierarchical Regression to test the hypothesis of the conceptual model. The research found that factors that influenced the behavioral intention was attitude and perceived disclosure benefits. However, behavioral intention was not influenced by subjective norm, perceived behavior control, perceived privacy risk and privacy concern. Meanwhile, smart home device usage was Influenced by behavioral intention. |
