| Abstract | In this article, constructionism, a learner-centered learning theory, is explored in terms of how it contributes to the development of creative thinking. It presents the way in which the creativity principles are associated with the active learning, problem-solving, personal relevance, collaboration, and tangible outcomes. It discusses theoretical foundations of constructionism as they relate to cognitive development and creativity: how constructionism enhances both interactive learning and cognitive growth. Plus, it provides practical approaches for instructional designers and educators to effectively integrate constructionism into the educational environment. These approaches included a project-based learning, autonomous learning, and interdisciplinary approaches. The article posits that the integration of constructionism and creativity can foster the development of creative thinking and problem-solving skills in learners. These skills are essential for individuals to cope with the complexities and opportunities of a continuously developing globalized world. |
