| Abstract | Krabi Province is one of the Andaman Sea tourism group with natural beauty that attracts tourists. But facing problems with both waste and wastewater same as other provinces in the Andaman group which can be solved by the collaboration of local government organizations and private businesses to jointly manage waste and wastewater.The model local ordinances on waste and wastewater management will be a power base of local government organizations. Research methodology adopted is qualitative research consisting of documentary research; in-depth interview; participatory design, co-design;and hearing for getting answers which lead to the preparation oflocal ordinances.Research found that effective waste management is waste separation before discarding away by community people and tourism businesses. There are 4 types of waste i.e., organic waste; valuable waste; hazardous waste; and toxic waste. The day of waste collecting will depend on colour bags. Tourism business will provide bags for collecting waste to tourists and handled back at the end of the trip. Waste water management will manage under wastewater treatment system. The wastewater emitters are private business shop; hotel; accommodation; and tourism have to pay the treatment under the rate stipulated by law.The research suggestion is that local government organizations enact local ordinances for waste and wastewater management. Operate a wastewater treatment system using part of the budget from the national budget and part from the environmental fund. |
