Abstract | This research aims at integrating a knowledge-based system and web-based technology to facilitate the rubber andrubber composite injection mold design. The system integrates both of computer-aided design and web-based managementby using the application programming interface. The research processes started with gathering data and knowledgeconcerning on rubber injection mold design and process, with the designed framework of the system included. An examplepart was demonstrated in order to validate the developed system. Based on standardized procedures, the system providescounseling that is able to resolve relevant issues at the early stage of the mold design. The system can be used for bothdesigning and training in rubber mold fabrication. |
