| Abstract | PURPOSES: To study physical characteristics and crime problems in residential communities and tourist attractions, and analyze the relationship between crime problems in residential communities and tourist attractions and the use of CCTV in preventing the crime problems. METHODS: A sample survey research of 400 people and tourists in Rayong Province, who were accidentally selected. A questionnaire was used to collect data. RESULTS: Basic and physical characteristics of residential communities and tourist attractions and crime problems in residential communities and tourist attractions were significantly related with the prevention of crime problems in residential communities and tourist attractions using CCTV cameras. THEORETICAL/POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Monitoring and maintaining the safety of communities and tourists using closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras could make the communities more livable and make tourists feel comfortable when they visit the communities. |
