| Abstract | This research aimed to study the development of a pre-retirement preparation curriculum for lecturers in the Faculty of Management Science at Rajabhat University in the Northern region, using the process of Appreciative Inquiry. Data were collected through interviews with 11 lecturers, aged 55-60, from the Faculty of Management Science at Rajabhat University in the Northern region and 13 university administrators involved in human resource management, totaling 24 participants. The research findings indicated that the development of the pre-retirement preparation curriculum for lecturers consisted of four steps: 1) identifying the knowledge and life experiences of lecturers nearing retirement and determining the desired characteristics and roles of mentors; 2) setting pre-retirement preparation goals from the beginning of employment in collaboration with lecturers, administrators, and mentors; 3) designing the curriculum and learning processes according to the needs of retiring lecturers; and 4) driving the pre-retirement preparation of lecturers towards the defined goals sustainably. |
